RP010BMkII is the evolution of the classic and successful RP010. In order to make the RP010B a real the top performer both in Single Ended traditional headphone output and Balanced Headphone output a “Quad Mono” topology has been adopted, this mean four amplification units and two dual power supply, When used in single ended ( traditional headphone) it is a dual mono amplification unit, when used in balanced output connection four amplification unit are working, two for each channel. RP010B amplify separately the positive and negative phase of the signal for each channel. This is a real no-compromise solution. The RP010-B can accept balanced and unbalanced input. and can work in any combination. · Balanced input to Balanced output ( full Balanced mode) · Balanced Input to Single Ended Output · Unbalanced Input to Balanced Output ( trough an internal phase splitter) · Unbalanced Input to unbalanced output. ( traditional SE dualmono amplifier) Very interesting is the possibility to drive balanced headphone from unbalanced source, in this configuration the amplifier convert the unbalanced input signal to balanced trough an extraordinary hi-quality internal splitter unit, made on discrete components base.

The RP010B is built in heavy box using copper and solid avio machined aluminium, the components are from best quality production, and the construction is at mil quality. The two power transformers ( made under our design ) are soaked in a special vinyl resin and shielded in order to avoid vibrations and erratic magnetic fields. The power supplies are a combination of Capacitance Multiplier and RC cells, they assure a clean and redundant current to the amplification electronics. The input gain amplification stage is made by a discrete FET differential amplifier controlled by a constant current generator.. The darlington bipolar power transistors are controlled by an active constant current generator, The accurate internal construction based on shielded non-magnetic metal boxes jointed with the highly accurate component selection and the precise design, make possible a reliable and silent amplification without using any any negative feedback circuitry, either local or global, The benefits on sound are really remarkable it terms of transparency and deepness feeling. The astonishing linearity from 2Hz to 100Khz (-0.2 db) and the impressive figure of 128 dB of dynamic range, jointed with the advantage in terms of soundstage and transparency done by double dual mono architecture and the total zero negative feedback solution, make the RP010-B a trough unbeatable top performer offering great musicality, transparence, and dynamics.
